Job Description

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig (DBL) is seeking a qualified Corporate Paralegal with 1-5 years of experience in our Vienna, Virginia office. The ideal candidate must have excellent writing and research abilities, and a demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results. This position can be in the office at our Vienna, VA location or fully remote only if outside the commutable area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-5 years of relevant legal experience in corporate law.
• Able to work in a capacity with strict privacy and confidentiality requirements inside and outside the firm.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong attention to detail required.  Double checks the accuracy, formatting, and grammar of written communications while handling confidential information sensitively and discreetly. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe, and SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Paralegal certification preferred

Responsibilities:

• Performs moderately complex legal research.
• Writes preliminary drafts of simple legal memoranda and correspondence.
• Responsible for assisting attorneys and partners in all aspects, including but not limited to preparing pleadings, daily court filings, drafting agreements, preparing trial notebooks, case management, and client liaison.
• Assisting attorneys with reviewing/monitoring incoming correspondence and preparing outgoing correspondence.
• Drafting written discovery requests and responses.
• Maintaining case calendars.
