Middle Accessibility Tester Description

We’re seeking a remote Middle Accessibility Tester to become a part of the distributed global team within one of the biggest EPAM accounts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Accessibility testing on assigned products and report all defects pertaining to WCAG violations
• Demonstrate testing proficiency and meet productivity and quality benchmarks
• Demonstrates clear understanding of accessibility testing
• Collaborate and communicate closely with key stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to facilitate testing efforts throughout the product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with the Testing Lead to guarantee on-time completion, precision, and alignment with expectations for all testing requests
• Participate in creating and maintaining process documentation in partnership with subject matter experts
• Suggest process improvement ideas, provide feedback on testing tools, applications, and process
• Continuously develop skills and knowledge in the field of accessibility testing
• Stay abreast of evolving accessibility standards and trends in the industry

Requirements

• 5+ years of testing experience in software development, web development or related field
• 3+ years of experience in an accessibility related field
• BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
• Expert level understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS® and NVDA and automated testing tools
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar for logging and tracking bugs
• Demonstrated success creating test plans and scripts
• Strong ability to influence and be able to effectively deal with ambiguous situations and make decisions
• Demonstrated success facilitating testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high level stakeholders
• Ability to influence and define processes
• B2+ English level
