Position Summary:

The National Accounts Service Manager provides sales and service support to companies with multiple locations throughout the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. This individual will manage the day-to-day service operations of the National Accounts team.

Our purpose is to service as a single-source provider of time and cost management. We recognize the value of time and understand that we are hired to ensure customers' scales are operating properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with National Accounts Operations Manager and Administrative Supervisor to plan and coordinate strategies and plans for the effective execution of programs to grow service sales, grow and support sales programs and initiatives, and deliver effective service and support to our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with both AEH and KSS management in designing and developing standardized systems, processes, and supporting tools for National Accounts operations.
  • Continue to improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes and the establishment of efficient internal processes. Review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures, and implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day branch(es) operations.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage all related training, coaching, and other skills and performance management programs, courses, and events to keep branch(es) operations staff current with skill standards and procedures, and to ensure they meet/exceed monthly performance goals.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules for company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain database of maintenance and repair records for company vehicles and equipment.
  • Oversee shop inventory, order parts, shop supplies and equipment.
  • When needed, lead or assign problem solving activities to find root cause of operating problems and create and deploy effective countermeasures within the branch(es).
  • Participate in company-wide program for service operations, in alignment and coordination with key KSS and AEH management.
  • Responsible for ISO17025 and other compliance initiatives and requirements applicable for branch(es) operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the safety management team to ensure all branch(es) personnel are meeting company safety program requirements as well as all work environments are adequate and safe within your region. This also includes meeting company established safety goals within the branch(es).
  • Manage proper facility maintenance and when applicable.
  • Meet or exceed established Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) goal or any other required safety standards for the region.
  • Ensure all technicians actively participate in and progress through the Kanawha Scales Technician Training Program in a timely manner.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment repair techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
  • Strong customer service

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of technical school program.
  • Five years of experience in equipment repair.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a full-time onsite position; 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel.
