POSITION: REGULATORY TECHNICIAN

SCOPE REGULATORY TECHNICIAN

This individual will assist with regulatory support with emphasis on regulations associated with both USDA and FDA labeling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES REGULATORY TECHNICIAN

  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of USDA and FDA regulations relating to labeling of all JTM products for channels including retail, military, and food service.
  • Develop ingredient statements and labels that accurately reflect the product design and critical information to the customer.
  • Assist in the documentation of transmittals for USDA products and maintain record of approvals.
  • Implement and communicate revisions to recipes and labels with all appropriate personnel.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external customers.
  • Evaluate existing products to make sure quality levels are maintained.
  • Ensure R&D procedures are documented and monitored for compliance with GFSI standards.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • BRC Compliance.
  • Reporting accuracy
  • Customer requirements met.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS REGULATORY TECHNICIAN

  • Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory affairs, specifically with FDA and USDA regulations is preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety standards, labeling laws, and compliance procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • This position is an onsite position.
