Full-Time SEO Position: Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

Job Title: SEO Specialist (Full-Time)
Salary: $2,000 - $3,000 per month
Location: Remote

About Us
Since 2013, we’ve been researching, analyzing, and charting the top songs in every category with a goal to create the most comprehensive online music archive available. With hundreds of thousands of pageviews each month, our site has a loyal fanbase and has withstood the Google craziness of the past couple of years.

We are dedicated to being the go-to resource for music lovers and enthusiasts, providing a rich archive of the most accurate and up-to-date charts in modern and past music history. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our team and help us implement our comprehensive strategy and long-term vision.

Role Overview
As an SEO Specialist, you’ll play a key role in optimizing our website for search engines, enhancing user engagement, and implementing strategies that drive organic growth. You’ll be responsible for executing on-page SEO, refining our internal linking strategy, optimizing affiliate programs, and creating content that resonates with both users and search engines.

While SEO chops should be your foundation, we are looking for someone who has the breadth to execute on a wider variety of revenue-generating activities. Your role will not be solely confined to the blocking-and-tackling basics. You’ll also be tasked with the business’s growth as a whole, outside of SEO tactics.

You’ll have a skilled team of three at your side, ready to execute on your vision. Because you’ll be the captain of the ship, project management, and effective team leadership are must-have’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Linking Strategy: Expand and optimize our internal linking structure to increase traffic across the site, connecting high-traffic pages to less-visited ones for better visibility and engagement.
  • On-Page SEO: Implement strategies to optimize page titles, meta descriptions, heading structures, and keyword density to improve search rankings and user experience.
  • Content Optimization: Work with the team to create and optimize content based on keyword research, expanding articles, and ensuring the content is in line with SEO best practices.
  • Affiliate Program Optimization: Help grow our affiliate revenue by optimizing banner ads, product placements, and event links, ensuring they align with audience interests.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Regularly analyze site and display ad performance, identify opportunities for growth, and provide actionable recommendations to the team.
  • Future Innovation: Explore new ways to increase user engagement and traffic, such as through interactive elements, email marketing, or implementing new SEO strategies and tools.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SEO with a focus on both on-page and off-page strategies.
  • Strong understanding of internal linking, site architecture, and keyword research.
  • Experience with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data and implement changes to improve SEO performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • A passion for music or knowledge of the music industry is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range of $2,000-$3,000 per month.
  • Opportunity to work remotely from anywhere, choosing your own hours and schedule.
  • Be part of a growing company with room for career growth and innovation.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment where your ideas and input will be valued.

How to Apply:
If you’re a results-driven SEO expert with a passion for making a long-term impact, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your resume, along with a brief cover letter explaining why you're the perfect fit for the role and how you can help us achieve our goals.
