Are you a filmmaker/storyteller with a passion for people? Telling humanistic stories? Interested in making a significant impact at an early stage startup? 

Our client Nectar (nectarhr.com) is a new and quickly growing HR software company whose core value and mission is to help companies create truly great cultures for their employees (think Pixar, Patagonia!). 

What does it take to build a great culture? How does one bring out the best creativity, create deep fulfillment in others? What’s wrong with the current way people perceive “corporate” or “HR”? 

Whoever comes aboard will be tackling these questions and many more, building out Nectar’s digital media brand voice on the YouTube platform from scratch. 

We're not looking for just another video producer—we're seeking a narrative architect who can turn organizational storytelling into cinematic art.

This filmmaker will proactively lead Nectar’s YouTube channel – everything from ideating, to producing, shooting, and editing in their creative voice.

You’ll be at the forefront of showcasing Nectar’s brand to the world and will have a remarkable impact on the company’s trajectory and its contribution to the world.

You won’t be at it alone, either. You’ll receive YouTube specific guidance from the very same people that have grown YouTube channels to 10M subscribers & 5B views, using some of the most innovative creative formats.

What You’ll Do (your directorial playground)

• Develop and execute a compelling creative roadmap for Nectar’s YouTube channel
• Architect a YouTube channel that's part documentary, part cultural manifesto
• Build a digital media department from the ground up, with total creative autonomy
• Craft YouTube videos for Nectar serving its core value of creating healthy cultures in workplaces
• Produce engaging, captivating narratives that showcase Nectar’s thought leadership
• Lead the ideation, scripting, shooting, and editing processes to produce high performing YouTube content that drives business results
• Work autonomously in a high-paced environment

Requirements

• We are looking for someone who sees brand storytelling as a creative art form, not a work checklist
• The ability to extract profound human stories from seemingly mundane moments
• Storytelling ability: strong ability to bring out the best in subjects being filmed, directing with vision, clear perspective, and authenticity
• Experience: At least 4+ years experience as a “preditor” (producer, director, editor)
• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and ability to navigate the broader tools of Adobe suite
• Business acumen and interest: strong curiosity and passion regarding Nectar’s business operations, strategy, mission, and culture
• Leadership: ability to run autonomously and lead the building of a new digital media production department from scratch
• Location: must be willing to work in-office in Lehi, Utah (or relocate a necessary)
